El Flow del Caribe crafts organic functional beverages featuring superfood like made for surfer and kitesurfer, born for the waves in Cabarete, Dominican Republic, but what is his story?
Some businesses start with a business plan.
Ours started with a question.
After moving from Italy to Cabarete, Dominican Republic, I found myself surrounded by surfers, kitesurfers, wingfoilers and people whose lives revolved around the ocean. Watching them train, compete and spend hours in the water every day, I began asking a simple question:
Why isn't there a functional drink created specifically for the watersports community?
Not another conventional energy drink filled with artificial ingredients. Not another product designed for everyone. But something inspired by the ocean, built around nature and created for those who genuinely live this lifestyle.
That question became the beginning of El Flow del Caribe.
From day one, our challenge has been ambitious: to develop a functional drink using naturally sourced ingredients while putting environmental and social sustainability before convenience.
Instead of following the traditional beverage industry, we chose a different path. We explored innovative ingredients such as specialty coffee, cricket protein, mushroom and marine phytoplankton, while working to source and produce as much as possible locally in the Dominican Republic.
For us, sustainability is not a marketing slogan!
It means creating local opportunities, reducing environmental impact, supporting responsible production and respecting the ecosystem that inspires everything we do.
Cabarete is more than our home.
It is one of the world's most iconic destinations for surfing, kitesurfing and wingfoiling. Every conversation with local athletes, every sunrise session and every day spent by the ocean has shaped our vision of what El Flow del Caribe should become.
Today, we are building more than a functional drink.
We are building a community.
A brand for people who believe that performance and sustainability can move in the same direction.

Meet the Founder
Meet the Founder
Manuele Lucisano is an Italian entrepreneur, industrial product developer and architect with more than two decades of experience turning complex engineering concepts into manufacturable products.
Throughout his career, he has contributed to advanced engineering projects spanning the automotive, aerospace and industrial sectors, including collaborations with Ferrari, the industrialization of Europe's first expanded TPU (eTPU) production process for footwear, and the development of expanded polypropylene (EPP) components used in the Cygnus orbital spacecraft programme.
In 2025, he also contributed to the development of a patented product for Ferrari, further strengthening his experience in innovation and product development.
After moving to Cabarete, Dominican Republic, he chose to apply that same engineering mindset to an entirely different challenge: creating a functional beverage inspired by surf culture, built around naturally sourced ingredients and driven by environmental and social sustainability.
El Flow del Caribe is the result of that journey.
